The Andean Project is the project of the people of this land, for participating in the reappearance of their great tradition in service to Pachamama (Mother Nature) and all humanity. It implies the emergence of healthy communities, called ayllus, living with ancestral consciousness within the necessities of the present reality. Accordingly, it includes a sustainable social economic structure with their own systems of education, natural medicine, agriculture, healthy alimentation, sciences, and arts, all guided by the sacred rituals and ceremonies of the tradition. This principally involves fortifying the traditional system of ayni, or community exchange of services and goods, for the well-being of the whole pueblo.
Our community is actively engaging in this vision through the participation of our own allyu, which provides community education. In Taray as well as in Cusco, we provide classes and workshops in themes of education, health, natural medicine, alimentation, traditional spirituality, and initiating sustainable clan-enterprises. Additionally, we make pilgrimages to the local mountains, including offerings to Pachamama, and the sharing of traditional Quechua and Aymara songs. We help to sustain the appearance and coordination of local projects of natural medicine, alimentation, agriculture, and education to work toward the development of a university of the sciences of life based on the ancestral tradition.
